11 Oct: Famous Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar got a unique opportunity to interview Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019 and recently in an interview with Times Now, he expressed pride in India’s achievements under the leadership of PM Modi.
During the interview, Akshay said, “I think India has stepped up,” highlighting how India has made significant progress. He particularly mentioned the experience of showing one’s passport at immigration offices abroad and the respect it brings. People, seeing Indian passports, often react with admiration and acknowledge, “Oh, you come from Modi’s country.” This reflects global recognition of India’s progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Addressing his alleged political affiliations, Akshay also discussed claims that his films championed the ruling party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He clarified that his film selection is not motivated by political affiliation, but is aimed at promoting the welfare and development of the country. He explained that his films, such as “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha” and “Mission Mangal”, were not associated with any particular party in power, but focused on important national missions and achievements. Akshay stressed that what really matters is the progress and betterment of the country, no matter which political party is in control.
