Mumbai, Sep 9: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who is currently preparing for his upcoming film ‘Mission Raniganj’, went on a spiritual journey to Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on the occasion of his birthday. This visit to the temple had a dual purpose for the actor. This served not only as a personal pilgrimage but also as an opportunity to seek divine blessings for his upcoming project, ‘Mission Raniganj’. Produced by Pooja Entertainment, the film centers around the remarkable Raniganj Coal Field Rescue Mission, which was led by the Late Mr. Jaswant Singh Gill, played by Akshay Kumar.
Jaswant Singh Gill played an important role in rescuing miners trapped in a flooded coal mine in Raniganj in November 1989. This mission achieved unprecedented success despite all odds. The cast of the film includes Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pawan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, Divyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Sharma, Virendra Saxena, Shishir Sharma, Ananth Mahadevan, Jamil Khan, Sudhir Pandey, Bachan Pachera, Mukesh Bhatt and others.
