Mumbai, Oct 22: Renowned for her roles in ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi,’ ‘Baaghi 3,’ and ‘Ek Thhi Naayka,’ among others, Ankita Lokhande is currently gracing the controversial reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 17. The actress has now disclosed the true reason behind her participation in the show.
Ankita entered the ‘Bigg Boss 17’ house alongside her husband, Vicky Jain. This couple, who tied the knot in December 2021, has quickly become one of the most talked-about contestants of the season.
In a recent episode, Ankita revealed, “I have joined ‘Bigg Boss 17’ because people know me as Archana, and now I want them to get to know Ankita, to witness the real me.”
Ankita was alluding to her iconic portrayal of Archana Deshmukh in the long-running TV series ‘Pavitra Rishta,’ which catapulted her to household fame. She portrayed Archana for five years, from 2009 to 2014, and received numerous awards and accolades for her performance. Notably, the show also featured the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput as Manav, alongside Ankita.
The current roster of contestants on ‘Bigg Boss 17’ includes Jigna Vora, Sana Raees Khan, Anurag Dobhal, Munawar Faruqui, Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Navid Sole, Neil Bhatt, Aishwarya Sharma.
