Mumbai, December 9: The film ‘Animal’ directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga is getting embroiled in controversies due to violent scenes. This dispute has now reached the Rajya Sabha. Ranbir Kapoor has played the lead role in the film. Chhattisgarh’s Congress MP Ranjit Ranjan has raised questions about the film in the Rajya Sabha. He has expressed concern over the behavior and violence shown towards women in the film. He said the film justified violent scenes and misogyny, which was “shameful”.
Controversies are arising over the violent scenes shown in the film ‘Animal’, which are not stopping. Chhattisgarh’s Congress MP Ranjit Ranjan spoke openly in Parliament on the film ‘Animal’ and the film industry. He said that cinema is the mirror of the society. We have grown up seeing this. Young people are greatly influenced by watching cinema. Nowadays some such films are coming, if you start from Kabir to Pushpa and now a film is going on ‘Animal’. I will not be able to tell you that there were many girls with my daughter who were studying in college. Studies in second year. She walked out of the hall crying in half the movie.”

Along with Animal, he has targeted the entire film industry. I don’t find all this fair. I don’t find it right to show this kind of thing like the molestation of women in films. Just watch the movie ‘Kabir Singh’, how he behaves with his wife. People and society also support and justify these types of films. This is a matter to think about. These films, by presenting these violent scenes and these negative characters, have an impact on our 11th and 12th-class children these days. Nowadays children of 11th and 12th have started considering him as their role model. By seeing all this in films, these children are also learning all this. That is why we are seeing such violence in the society also.”
Congress MP Ranjit Ranjan has described such films as a ‘disease’ for society and questioned the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for approving the release of such films.
The film ‘Animal’ directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga was released on December 1. Which is earning a lot every day. Till now the film has earned more than Rs 300 crore in India and more than Rs 500 crore worldwide.
