Actor Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor recently addressed concerns about the state of Bollywood, responding to a social media post that questioned the industry’s vitality due to the perceived inactivity of major stars like Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Kapoor emphasized that Bollywood should not solely rely on established stars and formulaic films.
He advocated for producers and financiers to invest in low-cost, high-concept films that prioritize innovative storytelling over traditional tropes. Kapoor highlighted the success of his film “Thar,” produced on a modest budget of ₹20 crore, as an example of achieving high-quality visuals without excessive spending.
He criticized the industry’s tendency to green-light projects reminiscent of outdated 1980s films and expressed his commitment to creating unforgettable cinema if provided with the necessary support.
