Mumbai, December 3: The pre-production of the third installment of the horror-comedy franchise ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ is currently in progress. While initial reports suggested that actress Tabu has left the film, it has been clarified that only Kartik Aryan has been confirmed in the cast list so far.
‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, released in 2022, was a commercial success and served as the sequel to Akshay Kumar’s 2007 film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. Kartik played the role of Rooh Baba in the sequel, which featured Tabu in a dual role.

Contrary to previous reports of Tabu opting out of the film, a reputed source said that Kartik Aryan is the only confirmed actor as Rooh Baba, and other talents will be finalized based on the script. The source clarified that no other actors have been confirmed yet.
The source said, “The only actor confirmed as Rooh Baba is Kartik Aaryan, and no other actors have been confirmed yet.”
It was also reported that despite substantial offers, Tabu was not interested in the role offered to her, but the source refuted these claims saying, “After finalizing the story, they will cast the actors as per the demand of the script.
‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ contributed significantly to Kartik Aryan’s stardom and he was last seen in ‘Satyprem Ki Katha’, which was a box office hit. Her upcoming projects include the Kabir Khan biopic ‘Chandu Champion’ and a film directed by Sandeep Modi with Karan Johar, the shooting of which is expected to begin in 2024.
Tabu, who was last seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s espionage thriller ‘Khufiya’, will be seen in ‘Aur Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ with Ajay Devgan and ‘The Crew’ with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon.
