Hyderabad, November 3: Telugu star Ram Charan has been inducted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). RRR actor Telugu star Ram Charan has joined the actor wing of the academy. Recently the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) announced the inclusion of Ram Charan in the Prestigious Actors Branch. After which he joined the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences after NTR Jr. Telugu star Ram Charan attended the Oscars with his ‘RRR’ co-star NTR Jr.
Ram Charan played the role of freedom fighter Alluri Sitharaman Raju in the film RRR directed by director SS Rajamouli. The character was well-received globally. After which he joined the list of superstars.
Awarded the Oscar in the Best Original Song category to Ram Charan and Jr NTR for the popular dance number Naatu Naatu from the film RRR. Months after his Oscar win, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) invited 398 artists and executives, including Ram Charan and Jr NTR. Other Indians named in the list included KK Senthil Kumar (cinematographer branch), MM Keeravani and Chandrabose in the music branch, and Karan Johar and Siddharth Roy Kapur in the producer branch.
Recently on its Instagram, the Academy posted the roster of inductees. Announcing the roster, he said, “We welcome these accomplished actors like Lashana Lynch, Ram Charan, Vicky Cripps, Lewis Koo Tin-Lok, Keke Palmer, Chang Chen, Sakura Ando, Robert Davi, etc. to the Academy’s Actors Branch.
He wrote that these actors, through their acting skills, present before us such characters which leave an indelible impression on our hearts and minds.
Currently, Ram Charan is shooting for the film Game Changer. The film is a Telugu political-action-thriller film. Which was directed by S. It is being done by Shankar. Actress Kiara Advani will be seen with actor Ram Charan in this film. The upcoming Telugu political-action-thriller film Game Changer will be released in 2024.
