Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming mythological epic Ramayana: Part One has crossed the Rs 10 crore mark in advance bookings across India, signalling strong audience interest ahead of its theatrical release on November 5, 2026. The film, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in lead roles, has generated considerable buzz among moviegoers even before its release.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film’s advance booking gross had crossed Rs 10 crore, with ticket sales approaching and subsequently surpassing the two-lakh mark as bookings expanded. The latest figures reported on October 25 showed advance collections of around Rs 10.92 crore, with approximately 1.97 lakh tickets sold across 4,546 shows as of 10 am. Subsequent trade reports indicated that collections continued to rise.
Hindi Version Leads Advance Bookings
The Hindi-language version is contributing the largest share of the film’s advance ticket sales. According to reported figures, Hindi screenings accounted for approximately 87 per cent of the total advance gross, while the Kannada and Telugu versions also contributed to the overall collections.
The Hindi version recorded around Rs 9.49 crore in advance bookings, while the Kannada version generated approximately Rs 1.11 crore. The Telugu version contributed around Rs 32.35 lakh, reflecting growing interest across multiple language markets.
Among major urban markets, the Delhi-NCR region emerged as a leading contributor, with advance collections exceeding Rs 2.23 crore. Mumbai followed with approximately Rs 1.68 crore, while Bengaluru recorded around Rs 1.38 crore. Hyderabad and Pune also registered advance sales ahead of the film’s theatrical debut.
Premium Formats Drive Audience Interest
Premium cinema formats, particularly IMAX 3D, have emerged as important contributors to the film’s advance sales. Higher-priced screenings have attracted moviegoers looking to experience the epic on large screens, while standard 3D screenings have also accounted for a significant portion of ticket bookings.
Trade reports have highlighted strong demand for premium-format shows, with some screenings reportedly reaching full occupancy. However, overall advance collections include seats blocked by cinemas, so gross booking figures should be distinguished from confirmed ticket purchases.
Star-Studded Cast and Two-Part Story
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is planned as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi portrays Goddess Sita, and Yash takes on the role of Ravana. The ensemble cast also includes Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, alongside Arun Govil, Lara Dutta and other prominent actors.
The project is being produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The film is planned for release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, aiming to reach audiences across India and international markets.
The first instalment is scheduled to arrive in theatres worldwide on November 5, 2026, while the second part is planned for Diwali 2027.
Final Week Could Be Crucial
With advance bookings gaining momentum, attention is now turning to the film’s opening-day performance. Additional screenings and wider availability could further influence ticket sales as the release date approaches.
While the early figures point to substantial audience interest, the film’s eventual box-office performance will depend on factors including audience response, reviews, show availability and word of mouth after its release.
For now, Ramayana has established a notable pre-release booking milestone, with its star cast, large-scale production and retelling of a familiar epic helping generate anticipation among moviegoers.
