Sep 5 – Following his prayers at Vaishno Devi Temple, Shah Rukh Khan offered prayers at Tirupati’s well-known Sri Venkateswara Temple, popularly known as the Tirupati Balaji temple, ahead of the September 7 release of his upcoming film Jawan.
The actor, who arrived at the temple late Monday night, had darshan at the famed hill shrine early Tuesday morning. His daughter Suhana Khan and actress Nayanthara, who is making her Bollywood debut in the film, accompanied him.
Following darshan, Shah Rukh and his family proceeded to Ranganaykula Mandapam, where the priests performed the Veda Ashirvachanam and distributed Teertha Prasadam.
A video of their visit went viral when it was shared on social media.
Shah Rukh Khan had already visited the Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu and Kashmir, and footage from that visit had gone viral.
Shah Rukh Khan’s fans commended him for his tolerance of different religions. His visits to the Vaishno Devi Temple and now the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple have been mentioned by several fans.
Apart from Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, Jawan also has Vijay Sethupathi as the primary antagonist and Deepika Padukone in a cameo role. The film, which will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, is already breaking records in terms of advance bookings.
Jawan is likely to have a very successful box office debut. Atlee directed it, while Gauri Khan produced it through Red Chillies Entertainment.
