Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has announced his departure from Bollywood, expressing frustration with the industry’s increasing focus on profit over creativity. He plans to relocate to South India, seeking a more stimulating environment for filmmaking.
Actor Sunny Deol, known for his role in ‘Gadar 2’, recently praised South Indian filmmakers for their dedication and passion. During the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Jaat’, produced by Hyderabad-based Mythri Movie Makers, Deol remarked, “Maybe I shall go and settle there (in the South).” He highlighted that South Indian producers focus on the story as the hero and show trust in the director’s vision.
While Deol’s comments reflect his admiration for the Southern film industry’s approach, there is no official confirmation that he intends to move away from Hindi cinema.
