The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed closure reports in the cases related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, concluding that no criminal conspiracy or foul play was involved. The CBI’s findings align with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) forensic team’s report, which ruled out allegations of poisoning and strangulation, confirming the death as a case of suicide.
Rajput was found hanging in his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020. Following his death, his father, K.K. Singh, filed an FIR accusing actress Rhea Chakraborty and others of abetment to suicide and financial misconduct. However, a forensic audit of Rajput’s bank accounts revealed no suspicious transactions or evidence implicating Chakraborty in financial wrongdoing.
After an extensive investigation, the CBI has now closed both cases, stating that no criminal conspiracy or wrongdoing was found in connection with Sushant’s death.
