Vaani Kapoor has finally broken her silence on whether she will be a part of War 2, the much-awaited sequel to the 2019 action blockbuster War starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. In a recent media interaction, the actress responded to the speculation with grace, clarity, and a touch of humor.
Vaani, who played a pivotal role in the original film, confirmed that she would not be part of the sequel. However, she expressed no disappointment over her exclusion. Instead, she said she was grateful for the opportunity to have been part of War, which she considers a major milestone in her career. She stated, “I am happy to have been a part of War. It was a beautiful experience and one of the best teams I have worked with.”
When asked if she might return to the franchise, Vaani playfully added, “Tiger Shroff and I both died in the film. So unless he comes back, I don’t think I can either!” Her witty comment was met with laughter and appreciation, as fans admired her light-hearted yet honest approach.
War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji and set within the expanding YRF Spy Universe, will star Hrithik Roshan reprising his role as Kabir, alongside South superstar Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani in a fresh lead role. The film is slated for release on August 14, 2025, and promises high-octane action and a gripping storyline.
So, while Vaani Kapoor won’t be part of War 2, she remains proud of her role in the original and has left the door slightly open—albeit jokingly—for a return, if Tiger Shroff ever makes a comeback too.
