Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was given insulin in Tihar Jail after his sugar level rose. The information of which has been given by Aam Aadmi Party. Aam Aadmi Party sources claim that Arvind Kejriwal’s sugar level was continuously increasing and his sugar level had reached 320. Arvind Kejriwal has been given insulin for the first time after ED’s arrest. CM Arvind Kejriwal has been lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail in a money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor scam. Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj tweeted that there is good news on the occasion of Hanuman Janmotsav.
According to information received from Tihar Jail sources, Kejriwal was given low dose insulin on Monday evening. He said that the AIIMS doctor had advised that insulin should be given to him if it is very necessary. After which he was given insulin in the evening. He said Kejriwal was given low dose-2 insulin when his sugar level was 217. When Kejriwal was out of jail, he used to take 50 unit doses of insulin. Arvind Kejriwal was met by his wife Sunita Kejriwal in jail on Monday.

Earlier on Monday, a Delhi court dismissed an application filed by Arvind Kejriwal seeking 15 minutes a day from a private doctor of his choice to treat his diabetes and persistent fluctuations in blood sugar levels. Permission was sought for consultation through video conferencing.
Special Judge Kaveri Baveja of the Rouse Avenue Court insisted that adequate medical treatment be provided to the AAP leader while in judicial custody. The court ordered that if CM Kejriwal needs special counseling in jail, the jail authorities will consult a medical board constituted by the director of AIIMS Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal is not being given insulin in Tihar Jail. Accusations are being made continuously by the party. Director General of Jails Sanjay Beniwal has denied the allegations made by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and said that around 1,000 diabetic patients are in Tihar Jail. All those diabetic patients are given food and medicine as per the advice of senior doctors including AIIMS and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
Earlier, Kejriwal had alleged that he was being deprived of insulin since he was arrested by the ED on March 21 in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. He had requested the court to allow him to consult a private doctor over video call, which was rejected by the special court in Delhi. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party protested outside Tihar Jail.
