Raipur, November 7: The first phase of voting is going on in 20 assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh. By 9 am, about 10 percent voting had taken place. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the voters regarding voting.
According to the official information received, the first phase of voting started today on 20 assembly constituencies, out of which the voting process started at 8 a.m. on 10 seats and the process of voting started at 7 a.m. on 10 seats. Where the voting process started from seven in the morning, voting will be held till three in the afternoon and where the voting process started from eight in the morning, voting will be held till five in the evening.
Voting can be done from 8 am to 5 pm in Khairagarh, Pandariya, Dongargarh, Kawardha, Jagdalpur, Rajnandgaon, Chitrakote, Dongargaon, Khujji and Bastar assembly constituencies.
Voting can be done from 7 am to 3 pm in Antagarh, Mohla-Manpur, Kanker, Bhanupratappur, Kondagaon, Keshkal, Konta, Bijapur, Narayanpur and Dantewada assembly constituencies.
Initially, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the voters regarding voting and long queues were seen at many polling stations. Till 9 am, 9.93 percent of voters had voted.
A total of 223 candidates are trying their luck in the first phase of voting on 20 assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh, which includes 25 women and 198 men.
40 lakh 78 thousand 681 voters are going to vote in the first phase of elections. These voters include 19 lahks 93 thousand 937 male voters, 20 lahks 84 thousand 675 female voters, and 69 third gender voters.
A total of 5304 polling stations have been set up for 40 lakh 78 thousand 681 voters involved in the first phase of voting in 20 assembly constituencies. Of these polling stations, 200 are Sangwari polling stations, where only women polling personnel will be posted.
