Following the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, which claimed the lives of 26 tourists, actor Atul Kulkarni took a stand by visiting the region to show solidarity and encourage tourism. Disturbed by reports that 90% of tourist bookings were canceled post-attack, Kulkarni emphasized the importance of supporting Kashmir and its people.
Kulkarni stated, “What happened on the 22nd was a very tragic incident; this should not have happened. The entire country is deeply saddened.” He added that instead of merely expressing grief online, he felt compelled to act.
Sharing his journey on social media, Kulkarni posted images of empty flight seats and scenic views of Pahalgam, urging fellow Indians to visit Kashmir. He captioned one post, “Mumbai to Srinagar. The crew says they were running full. We need to fill them up again. Chaliye ji, Kashmir chalein.”
His visit received widespread appreciation on social media, with many lauding his initiative to promote unity and resilience in the face of terror.
