A street near Lata Mangeshkar Chowk is aglow in anticipation of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
On Thursday, the idol of Lord Ram was unveiled from the temple’s sanctum sanctorum. Notably, the central government has declared a half-day closure of all public offices until 2:30 pm on January 22 in honor of the consecration ceremony. Banks across India will also remain closed for half a day on this occasion.
The grand event on January 22 will witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the chief guest, with a diverse guest list including celebrities, saints, and politicians. The Ram Janmabhoomi Trust has meticulously arranged to welcome and honor attendees, presenting them with gifts, including ‘Ram Raj.’
Following the ceremony, the temple will open its doors to the general public starting from January 23.
