Aug 29 – Several parts in Karnataka’s Bengaluru will be without power till Thursday (August 31), while the state energy authority conducts maintenance work. Many locations may be affected by power disruptions on Wednesday (August 30) and Thursday (August 31), according to the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM).
Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KTPCL), the state’s main energy distributor, will work on a number of projects. The impacted areas will lose electricity between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. In some places, the outage may be extended until 5 p.m.

The areas that will be affected due to power on August 29 (Tuesday) include Ananda Nagara, Thirumalapura, T Begur, Huchhegowdanapalya, Marohalli, Byranahalli, Gangangatta, Hunseghtta, Sugoor, M Gollaratti And Kanughatta.

Previously, some locations in Bengaluru experienced power outages on August 26 and 27 due to scheduled maintenance and repair work. The BESCOM had previously stated that the work will include Jalasiri 24-hour water supply, road widening and subsurface drainage plant electrification, and an 11KV link line to separate the load from F-2 Gowdihallifeeder from NG Halli MUSS. During the power outages, the NH-48 road widening shifting will be completed to the Gowdihalli High School limits. Sunil Kumar, Karnataka’s energy minister, stated in February that Bengaluru will have uninterrupted power supply this summer.
