Bengaluru: Bengaluru’s metro rail system is set to start additional train services between Gandhi Road station and Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Majestic metro stations from 1 September 2023. This is a very important step taken given the continuously increasing number of passengers.
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) said that this will be the case for additional train services on the Purple Line with plans to extend this initiative to other lines in the future.
BMRCL also said that the main objective of these additional train services is to provide more convenience to commuters during morning peak hours between Majestic station and MG Road metro stations.
The additional trips will be operational on weekdays from Monday to Friday starting September 1, 2023.
However, these additional services will operate only up to MG Road station.
BMRCL said, “Commuters desirous of traveling beyond Mahatma Gandhi Road towards Baiyappanahalli may please get down at Mahatma Gandhi Road Metro Station and board the next train.
