New Delhi, August 30 – By making LPG cylinders cheaper by ₹ 200, the Central Government has taken a big step towards controlling the rising inflation. The Central Government has given relief to the people from inflation by announcing a reduction in the price of LPG cylinders by ₹ 200. Beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme are already getting a subsidy of ₹ 200, now that the Central Government has announced a cut in the price of LPG by ₹ 200, they will get a gas subsidy of ₹ 400.
The new price of domestic cooking gas will be applicable from today itself. For the last two years, LPG cylinders were continuously becoming expensive. After this announcement by the government, the 14.2 kg gas cylinder which was available for ₹ 1103 in the national capital New Delhi, will now be available for ₹ 903. On the other hand, the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme will get it for ₹ 703. This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

told reporters that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a big gift to sisters by reducing the price of LPG gas cylinders on the festival of Rakshabandhan. 33 crore consumers of the country will benefit from this. This decision of the government will increase the burden of ₹ 7,680 in the financial year 2023-24.
Further, Anurag Thakur said that the Central Government will also provide 75 lakh more free LPG connections under the Ujjwala scheme. If this happens, then the number of beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana, which is now 9.6 crore, will increase to 10.35 crore.
