New Delhi, March 10 – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday was conducting raids at more than 14 places, including the house of former MLA Abu Dojana in Bihar in connection with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) scam.
The raids started early this morning and are currently going on. A team of ED reached the house of Abu Dojana in Patna and is currently examining documents.
It has been alleged that when Lalu Prasad was serving as the Union Railway Minister, he allegedly committed corruption by demanding undue advantage. The group D post jobs were allegedly offered to those who transferred land in the name of Lalu Prasad’s relatives and known persons.
The ED has not commented on the matter as of now.
ED to seek 10-day custody for Manish Sisodia
AAP leader and former deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi excise policy scam, will be produced before the Rouse Avenue District Courts on Friday at around 2 p.m., and the ED is set to seek his 10-day remand.
On Thursday, the ED arrested Sisodia in Tihar Jail after grilling him for about eight hours. The ED will now seek his ten-day custodial remand for further probing the case.
The ED has questioned Sisodia in connection with the alleged kickbacks of Rs 100 crore which the AAP party/leaders received through hawala channel from South Group.
He was also asked about Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Pillai and K. Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on February 26 and later remanded to judicial custody by Rouse Avenue District Courts on March 6. His bail plea is also pending before the court which will hear it on Friday.
