Amaravati, September 9 – Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on charges of corruption in the skill development scam case.

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has been named the main accused in the multi-crore skill development scam. Sections 420 (cheating), 120B (criminal conspiracy), and 465 (forgery) have been imposed on them. Besides, Andhra Pradesh CID has also invoked sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act (PMLA) against N Chandrababu Naidu.
In this matter, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu said, “They have come to the state to arrest me without any evidence citing some case against me. I asked him on what basis I was being arrested. Show me the evidence of preliminary investigation for arrest. Now they have come here with FIR without any reason. There is no information about my role or any other kind in this. I felt very sad to see this. this is wrong. He further said, “I have not committed any wrongdoing or corruption. CID has arrested me without any correct information.”

According to media reports, this is a non-bailable offense. Meanwhile, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu says that the CID has been arrested without any information and without showing any evidence. When asked to show evidence, CID refused to show it. I have not been involved in any corruption. I have been implicated in a conspiracy and arrested. My name has been put in the FIR without my involvement.
Regarding the evidence, CID officials say that whatever evidence we have, we have submitted it to the High Court. The arrest of Chandrababu Naidu is the initial step in the investigation. All information will be given in the remand report to be released within 24 hours. All the material has been included in the remand report and a remand report will be given to them before taking them to Vijayawada.
Chandrababu Naidu’s lawyer said “CID took TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for medical examination. Where diabetes and high blood pressure have been detected. We are approaching the High Court for bail. ,
