Jammu, Aug 22: On Tuesday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police informed that an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was used in the Jammu district, after which the Jammu Police team destroyed it while taking action.
Jammu Police said that an IED was “defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) after it was detected in the Panjgrain Nagrota area of Jammu district.”
Elaborating on this, an SSP there said that the IED was destroyed by the BDS “through a controlled mechanism”.

The Jammu police officer said, “The case has been registered at the earliest under relevant sections of the law and an investigation has also been started.”
