Police officials in Imphal said that eight sophisticated weapons, 112 different types of ammunition, and a large number of explosives were recovered from Bishnupur and Imphal West districts.
Security forces also bulldozed six illegal bunkers built by the attackers, besides recovering arms and ammunition.
Intermittent firing from the attackers was also reported in different districts, but there was no report of any casualty.
The criminals taken into police custody are residents of Manipur and Assam. And police officials said personnel of the Narcotics and Border Affairs Wing seized some medicines in the Imphal East district.
