Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Jammu and Kashmir on February 20. The Prime Minister may address a public rally in Jammu during this visit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate/lay the foundation stone of various developmental projects worth thousands of crores of rupees during this period.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a big public rally in Jammu on February 20, for which preparations are being made. Apart from this, the Prime Minister can also visit Srinagar. According to the information given by the sources, the program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being finalized which will be completed in a few days.
During his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister will inaugurate several development projects such as the inauguration/foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Vijaypur in Samba, the highest railway bridge connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country, which is being built over the Chenab river in Reasi district. Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) is likely to be inaugurated in the coming weeks. Apart from this, there are many other projects including Devika Kayakalp Project, which will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
According to information received from sources, the Prime Minister will also address an employment fair in Jammu and he will distribute more than one lakh appointment letters among the youth.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of many other development works in Jammu and Kashmir.
The BJP in Jammu and Kashmir is likely to get a boost from the Prime Minister’s visit before the Lok Sabha elections. This visit of the Prime Minister to the Union Territory before the Lok Sabha elections is being considered very important. Apart from Udhampur and Jammu, the two seats won twice in 2014 and 2019, the party is also eyeing the third seat Anantnag-Poonch-Rajouri. In the last two Lok Sabha elections, Union Ministers of State Dr Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore Sharma had won Udhampur and Jammu seats. A large number of hill votes are in Anantnag-Poonch-Rajouri. In the recently held Parliament session, the government has given them ST status.
