Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s husband Robert Vadra is likely to contest from Amethi. He had also hinted at entering politics some time ago, after which it is believed that he may contest the elections from Amethi against BJP’s Smriti Irani. But no official announcement has been made by the party yet. Meanwhile, a poster war has started in Amethi over Robert Vadra. Posters of Robert Vadra have been put up in the party office, but no one knows who put up the posters.
The Amethi Lok Sabha seat is a high-profile Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh, where polling is scheduled for the fifth phase on May 20. Even before the election, the political mercury has once again risen over this seat. Posters have been put up at Congress offices in Amethi and Gauriganj and other places demanding that Robert Vadra contest the elections. In which it is written, “The people of Amethi should call, Robert Vadra now, the petitioner is the people of Amethi.”
There is a demand for Robert Vadra to contest in Amethi. A few days ago some photos related to the demand of Robert Vadra to contest from Amethi went viral on social media. Posters of Robert Vadra have been put up in large numbers at Congress offices in Amethi and Gauriganj, Hanuman Tiraha, Railway Station Road and other places including railway stations.
Sonu Singh Raghuvanshi, who has held many positions including former youth district president of Congress, said about the poster that the people of Amethi are demanding that Robert Vadra contest from Amethi this time. Rahul Gandhi is contesting from Wayanad, so he should not contest from Amethi. Instead, Robert Vadra contested from Amethi and Priyanka Gandhi contested from Rae Bareli. Congress will win this election by a huge margin and Union Minister and sitting MP Smriti Irani will lose the election.
Congress has not announced any of its candidates from Amethi yet, while BJP has once again fielded Smriti Irani in this seat.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP fielded Smriti Irani against Congress’s Rahul Gandhi from here. Where Rahul Gandhi was defeated by Smriti Irani in his own stronghold and raised the flag of BJP.
