Ladakh, Aug 19: Congress leader and former President Rahul Gandhi has suddenly reached Ladakh today on a two-day visit. Till yesterday, even the Congress leaders had no inkling that Rahul would suddenly go on a tour of Ladakh. If we talk about Leh Ladakh, it has been a stronghold of the Congress since the beginning. Before the year 2014, the Congress MP used to represent Ladakh in Parliament. But in 2014, due to the division of votes within Ladakh, this seat went to the BJP. Now since the “India” alliance has been formed, it has started from Ladakh itself, in the local elections there. There, in the Kargil Hill Council elections that are going to be held next month, the Congress and the National Conference have decided that they will jointly field candidates in these elections. In the last Kargil Hill Council elections held in Ladakh, the Congress expanded its party to some extent and won most of the seats. It is believed that before the 2024 elections, Rahul Gandhi is going to start his election strategy and strategy to win the elections from Ladakh itself.
On the second day of this two-day tour, Rahul Gandhi interacted with the youth at a program in Leh. Meanwhile, the Congress leader also watched the football match sitting with the spectators and the players shook hands with him and the people present there also took selfies with him. The pictures of Rahul watching the football match have been shared by the Congress. Sharing his pictures, Congress has written that at Kushok Bakula Futsal Stadium in Leh Rahul Gandhi participated in the final match of the Rajiv Gandhi Futsal Tournament 2023. Rahul also presented the trophy and prize money to the winning team.
Earlier, while addressing the youth, Rahul Gandhi said that India got independence in 1947. The constitution reinforces India’s independence and it is constitutional to strengthen independence in India. Rahul Gandhi further said that the constitution is a step, in the way you implement the constitution to establish institutions, they support the vision of the constitution in the same way. Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha strengthen all these elements.

If the Congress is to be believed, then this tour of Rahul Gandhi has been extended till 25th August. On August 20 at Pangong Lake Rahul will celebrate his former Prime Minister and his father Rajiv Gandhi’s birthday After this, he will also visit the Kargil Memorial, as well as participate in the election meeting of the 30-member Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh on August 25.
