Shiv Sena-UBT has released the first list of 16 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra. Three candidates from Mumbai have been included in this first list. Shiv Sena-UBT fielded Arvind Sawant from Mumbai South, Sanjay Dina Patil from Mumbai North East and Amol G. Kirtikar has been made his candidate from Mumbai North-West.
The party has fielded old loyalists for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In which tickets have been given to Omraj Nimbalkar from Dharshiv seat, Chandrakant Khaire from Sambhajinagar, Bhausaheb Waghchore from Shirdi, Rajabhau Vaje from Nashik, Anant Geete from Raigad, Vinayak Rau from Sindhudurg Ratnagiri, Rajan Vikhare from Thane.
Other candidates include Sanjay Deshmukh from Yavatmal-Washim, Professor Narendra Khedekar from Buldhana, Chandrahar Patil from Sangli, Sanjog Waghere-Patil from Maval, Nagesh Patil-Ashtikar from Hingoli, Sanjay Jadhav from Parbhani.
Along with this, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has announced 28 candidates for the 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state, including 12 candidates from the Congress and 16 from the SS (UBT).
Maharashtra’s 48th Lok Sabha will go to polls in five phases on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13 and May 20 and the election results will be out on June 4. India Alliance and NDA will see direct competition in Maharashtra. The NDA (Ajit Pawar), Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and BJP will contest the elections together, while Shiv Sena-UBT, NCP-Sharad Pawar and Congress are contesting the elections together.
