Aug 27 – An undated video of a horrific incident with a teacher reportedly urging Hindu pupils to physically abuse a Muslim student has just gone viral. The incident has piqued the interest of the Muzaffarnagar Police in Uttar Pradesh, who have launched an investigation.
In response to the video, Muzaffarnagar Police’s official Twitter account stated that the station in-charge of Mansoorpur has been asked to properly examine the matter and take the required actions.
The teacher in question, identified as Tripta Tyagi in some sources, may be seen making inflammatory statements in the video. She may be heard stating to the students, “I have declared jitne bhi Mohammedan bachhe hai…” This translates to “I have declared all Muslim children…” The teacher’s instructions appear to incite Hindu classmates to physically hurt a Muslim student in the room.
The video raises questions regarding the incident’s context and the circumstances surrounding its recording. The teacher is seen off-camera conversing with an unnamed person, and it is unclear whether she was aware that she was being videotaped.
A kid is observed on the video beating another student, likely the Muslim classmate, prompting the latter to cry. The teacher’s voice can be heard directing the kids’ activities, urging them to strike the targeted student harder.
The assault allegedly occurred at Neha Public School in Muzaffarnagar’s area of Khubbapur. Students are sat on the floor of the classroom in the video, and the teacher’s actions and remarks have sparked outrage and worry from a variety of sources.
