Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda tragically passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 35, following a severe motorcycle accident in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district. The incident occurred on September 27, 2025, when Jawanda lost control of his BMW R1250 GS Adventure motorcycle after colliding with a stray animal near Baddi while traveling to Shimla.
Jawanda sustained critical head and spinal injuries and was initially treated at a hospital in Solan before being transferred to Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Despite extensive medical efforts and being kept on life support for nearly two weeks, he succumbed to multiple organ failure at 10:55 AM on October 8, 2025.
The news of his passing has sent shockwaves through the Punjabi entertainment industry. Prominent figures such as Ammy Virk, Neeru Bajwa, Gippy Grewal, and Gurpreet Ghuggi expressed their condolences and shared tributes on social media. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also visited the hospital to pay his respects and extended condolences to the family.
Jawanda, born in Pona village near Jagraon in Ludhiana, gained popularity with songs like “Kali Jawande Di,” “Khush Reha Kar,” and “Do Ni Sajna.” He also made notable contributions to Punjabi cinema through his acting career.
His funeral is scheduled for Thursday, with the cremation to take place in his native village of Pona, near Jagraon, in Ludhiana district. Fans and the music community continue to mourn the loss of the talented singer and actor.
