Sep 14 – According to DMK leader and minister for Tamil Nadu Udayanidhi Stalin, some individuals are just waiting for an excuse to criticise composer AR Rahman. His reaction is related to security and administrative issues with the private event management company-organized AR Rahman music night in Chennai.
“I have not been to AR Rahman’s music night. But seen through social media. Action has been taken against the police officials. This is said to be due to last minute rush. Such incidents should be avoided in future. Some are waiting for reasons to criticize AR Rahman. The Tamil Nadu government will find the real reason behind the untoward incident and take action,” he said.
The distribution of roughly 50,000 tickets for a concert staged at a location with 20,000 seats was the root of the issues. In the stampede, several people died, and Chief Minister M. K. Stalin became stuck in the gridlock. Concerns about sexual assault on women also came up.
