The Indian Premier League or the IPL has something or the other to offer every year, which is why some call it the best cricketing league in the world. Since it also has players from around the world, you will not be surprised to note the sheer quality that it produces and how it amazes you with every passing season.
That is where a list of the best performers comes into the picture. So why don’t we go ahead and look at some of the stars that gave their best to shine in IPL 2022?
- Jos Buttler
When has Orange Cap Holder, Jos Buttler failed to amaze us? The England international played a consistent innings and made it a point to keep the scoring running. Apart from winning the award for the Most Valuable Player, Butler also made a point by matching Kohli’s 2016 record of scoring the most centuries in one season.
After a point, even the bowlers understood there was no stopping this 31-year old because he just kept going on and on.
- Yuzvendra Chahal
From the Orange Cap Holder, we come towards the Purple Cap Holder because it was Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal that took the most number of wickets. While he was tied with Hasarange for the Cap, Chahal made it through with a better economy rate and by also taking an important wicket, that of GT skipper Hardik Pandya.
While Indian fans focus all their attention on doing one particular thing, for example exploring Teen Patti games via Teenpatti.co.in, they made it a point to focus all their attention on Chahal and his consistency.
After all, the spinner kept taking wickets and left them amazed with every passing ball.
- Lockie Ferguson
If you were wondering which player bowled the fastest delivery, you need not look further than Lockie Ferguson. His delivery to none other than Jos Buttler in the finals was a rocket that went at a speed of 157.3 kmph.
It was immediately understood to be the fastest delivery of the season and in all likelihood, it did not leave anyone surprised. Mainly because Ferguson was also in contention for bowling the fastest delivery in the previous season of this league but was tied with Umran Malik.
- Dinesh Karthik
Dinesh Karthik or DK did mention that he wanted to take part in the World Cup and his innings had every inch of that desire. Every time he stepped on the pitch, he made sure to create an impact and move forward by helping his team.
RCB or the Royal Challengers Bangalore, could not have asked for a better batsman to cover the middle order because he kept sending the ball all around the stadium from the moment he began his innings.
At one point or the other, Karthik was the only person who scored for the team, which clearly shows the consistency through which he played games. So give it all for DK because he was also the Super Striker of the season.
- Evin Lewis
If you have been following the IPL closely, you will remember Evin Lewis and the mouth-watering catch that he took. While there were a number of contenders for the award of Best Catch, Lewis by far was the better one and there were no surprises in this regard.
He went on to get it all and completed the show in style. Let’s hope to see more of such jaw-dropping moments from him next season.
