The month of March has officially arrived on us. Conference tournaments are about to tip-off and March Madness will be revealed next Sunday, March 12th. There is a lot that can happen in just a short amount of time before the brackets officially get revealed by then.
The March Madness Bracket is something we all can’t wait for, but it is going to have to wait for now. What are some of the best-updated odds for teams to win it all this year in the NCAA Tournament?
Gonzaga +450
The one thing that Vegas really feels strongly about is that Gonzaga is the best team in college basketball, even though the top six teams in the national lost this past Saturday night. The Bulldogs for the second consecutive season is in line for the number one overall seed.
They’ve been to the National Championship Game twice over the past six years. If they get there this time around, they hope that the third time is the charm. The Gonzaga Bulldogs have a lot of talent and will probably not have such a strong bracket once the field is released.
Kentucky +650
Kentucky being the second favorite to win it all doesn’t make much sense. Gonzaga, Arizona, and Baylor will probably be three of the number one seeds when the bracket is released next Sunday. The Wildcats, Auburn, Kansas, and Purdue will be fighting for the other number one seedline.
The Kentucky Wildcats did beat the breaks on the Kansas Jayhawks earlier in the season, but some people feel like Kansas deserves to be a number one seed over them because the BIG12 might be a better conference than the SEC is. Kentucky is going to be a number two seed, but they wouldn’t be the strongest number two seed in this NCAA Tournaments anyways.
Arizona +700
Arizona is loaded offensively. They have dominated the PAC12 all year long and absolutely deserve to be one of the number one seeds in the NCAA Tournament. This is one of their best college basketball teams in nearly a decade.’
Some people feel like they are the second-best team in the country right now right behind the Gonzaga Bulldogs. They feel like a very strong bet to reach the Final Four and potentially cut down the nets in April in New Orleans, Louisiana.
There are four teams with +1200 odds to win it all: Purdue, Duke, Kansas, and Baylor.
The Purdue Boilermakers might potentially be the strongest number two seed in the NCAA Tournament. They will be the biggest threat to any number one seed who reaches the Elite 8 as long as Purdue does also.
This team could potentially be better than the one that reached the Elite 8 in 2019. That’s how good they are this time around and would be worth the bet to win it all.
The Duke Blue Devils still remain a very risky bet. They have a lot of unknowns. Duke is either going to be a team that is bounced early because they get a very hot seventh or 10th seed in the second round of the NCAA Tournament as a number two seed.
Kansas is in line right now for the final number one seed in the NCAA Tournaments. They have size that can cause smaller teams major problems. The Jayhawks can also shoot and get out in transition. Their speed can be problematic at times for opposing teams and being in the BIG12 helps their cause in being a potential number one seed.
Baylor has had a couple of key players missing, but they are getting hot at the right time and no one wants to face them in the NCAA Tournament. The Baylor Bears are very athletic and fast. Their transition game is second to none and has shooters all over the floor. Baylor might be the other number one seed in the NCAA Tournament for a second consecutive season.
