Dublin, Aug 20: India beat Ireland by a margin of 33 runs in the second T20I between India and Ireland on Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the series, captain Jasprit Bumrah’s maiden series win.
This match was played at the stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
Where Ireland captain Paul Stirling invited India to bat first after winning the toss, as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rituraj Gaikwad came to open for India.
Jaiswal got out after scoring 18 runs in just 11 balls. After his dismissal, Tilak Verma came to the field, who got out after scoring just 1 run.
For India, Rituraj Gaikwad contributed 58(43), Samson 40(26), Rinku Singh 38(21) and Shivam Dubey 22(16). India batting first scored 185 runs in 20 overs
In response, Ireland could score only 152 runs in 20 overs, as soon as Ireland’s batting started, in the 3rd over, Prasidh Krishna gave a big injury to Ireland’s batting order by taking 2 wickets in his first over, a few overs later Ravi Bishnoi takes 1 more wicket in his first over.
Andrew Balbirnie played a strong innings for Ireland and played a blistering inning of 72 runs in just 51 balls, but it was not enough for Ireland to win.
With this victory, India has taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series, the last match of this series will be played on 23rd, after which India will proceed directly to the Asia Cup.
