New Delhi, August 18 – Today, under the leadership of Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian team will have its first T20 match against Ireland. Where all eyes will be on the form and fitness of Jasprit Bumrah.
Jasprit Bumrah is returning from the T20 against Ireland today after being away from the field for almost 11 months. Jasprit Bumrah is also leading the Indian team in the three-match T20 series against Ireland starting today.
Bumrah is an integral part of India’s strategy in the One Day International World Cup starting in India from 14 October 2023, so everyone’s eyes will be on Bumrah’s performance in this series.
Bumrah suffered a stress fracture in his back during the home series against Australia before the T20 World Cup last year, after which he underwent surgery.
He has to bowl a maximum of 12 overs in this series. From this series, head coach Rahul Dravid, chief selector Ajit Agarkar and one-day captain Rohit Sharma will know the status of Bumrah’s fitness, which will decide whether Bumrah will play in the upcoming One Day International World Cup or not.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has posted a video of Bumrah bowling short balls, yorkers, etc. on his social media handle. This series will give Bumrah practice for the match as well as preparation for the Asia Cup. Will be strong
