Mumbai, December 18: India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan has withdrawn from the Test series against South Africa citing personal reasons. After this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced his replacement. BCCI has not given any exact reason for Ishan Kishan being out of this Test series.
KS Bharat has been included in the team in place of Ishaan. KS Bharat last played a Test match for India in June this year against Australia. KS Bharat made his debut for India against Australia in February this year. Earlier, KS Bharat was not included in the Test assignment against South Africa by BCCI. But after Ishan Kishan withdrew his name from the Test series and due to his request to include KS Bharat in the team, BCCI has included KS Bharat in the team.

KS Bharat has been included as a replacement for Ishan Kishan in the Test series against South Africa, but he will not be the first-choice wicketkeeper for India. It is being told that KL Rahul can be tried as a wicketkeeper. KL Rahul has proved useful as a wicketkeeper in One Day International and T20 International.
