Delhi, November 3: So, Mitchell Marsh, one of Australia’s key players, had to go back home from the Cricket World Cup 2023 due to some personal reasons. It is a bit uncertain whether he will make a comeback in the tournament or not, leaving the team in a difficult position as another star player Glenn Maxwell is already out due to injury.
They are going to get a big match against England and without Marsh and Maxwell it is going to be a bit challenging. The team has not given any clear timeline for Marsh’s return, so we are not sure whether they will bring in a replacement player or not.
ICYMI, Glenn Maxwell will miss Australia’s next #CWC23 match.

For the upcoming match against England, they may bring in Alex Carey, Sean Abbott, Marcus Stoinis or Cameron Green to replace Marsh and Maxwell. He also has Tanveer Sangha traveling with the team as a backup.
They are thinking that Stoinis could return to the game after recovering from a calf problem and Green could possibly replace Marsh.
During the World Cup, Marsh managed to score 225 runs and took two wickets. Australia’s next matches are against England and Bangladesh and they aim to secure their place in the semi-finals.
Currently, they are third in the table after playing six matches, so they are really hoping to hold on to that position and make it to the semi-finals.
