Due to their refusal to get Tilaks placed on their foreheads, Indian cricketers Mohammed Siraj and Umran Malik are receiving criticism from some of their own fans. An internet video shows the Indian team entering into a hotel and a duo asking the staff to applying the Tilak to their foreheads. Fans believe they shouldn’t have done that, hence the act has gone viral online. Tilak is used to greet guests as part of Hindu culture in India.

Despite the fact that even batting coach Vikram Rathour and one of the support staff members declined to put the tilak on them, Siraj and Umran appear to be the only cricketers who are the target of the online trolls.
The footage also appears to be dated. The Test team for the Australia series does not include Umran. It might be related to the recent domestic white-ball matches between Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
For the first Test in Nagpur, Siraj will be an important player for India throughout the entire series. Jasprit Bumrah won’t be available for at least the first two Tests, thus Mohammed Shami, Siraj, and the like will have to bear more responsibility and provide India early breakthroughs with the ball.
Siraj has participated in 15 Test matches and has amassed 46 wickets, including one five-wicket haul. When Team India keeps losing its main pacers owing to various injuries, the Indians supporters still can’t forget how excellently he bowled Down Under on the 2020–21 trip. At the time, despite losing the match 0-1 at Adelaide and the visitors being bowled out for just 36 runs, India had won the series 2-1.
