New Delhi, October 19: Ahead of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup match against India, Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim revealed a unique way to tackle India’s star batsman Virat Kohli. Rahim revealed that he avoids sledging at Kohli as he believes it motivates him more.
In an interview with Star Sports, Rahim shared his strategy, saying, “Some batsmen in the world like sledding and they get excited by it. So I never sled them because they get excited by it. I always tell my bowlers to get rid of it.” “About that as soon as possible.”
He described Kohli’s competitive nature and how the Indian captain tries to engage him in verbal exchanges during their matches. Rahim praised Kohli and the rivalry and challenge that comes from playing against India.

Historically, India has had the upper hand in World Cup matches against Bangladesh and has won four out of five encounters, despite suffering a notable defeat in the 2007 edition.
Virat Kohli has created an impressive record by scoring 1097 runs at an average of 73.13 in 19 One Day International (ODI) matches against Bangladesh.
Currently, India is on top of the points table in the tournament after winning all three matches and they are aiming to consolidate their position for the qualifiers with a win against Bangladesh.
The match between India and Bangladesh in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is going to be held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
In contrast, Bangladesh will be looking to regain momentum after consecutive defeats to defending champions England and 2019 World Cup finalists New Zealand.
