RCB pacer Yash Dayal has been accused of sexual exploitation by a woman who claims she was in a five-year relationship with the cricketer under the false promise of marriage. The FIR was registered in Ghaziabad on June 21, 2025, under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertains to sexual intercourse obtained through deceitful means such as false promises of marriage. The complaint came after the woman reportedly failed to receive proper assistance from police and helpline services, even after reaching out via the Women’s Helpline 181 on June 14.
According to the woman’s statement, her relationship with Dayal began around 2019 and continued until recently. She alleges that Dayal introduced her to his family as his prospective wife, took her on multiple trips to cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, and Prayagraj, and maintained physical and emotional intimacy with repeated assurances of marriage. However, when she questioned his intentions, he reportedly became abusive. The woman also claimed that she later discovered Dayal was in similar relationships with other women, suggesting a pattern of deceit.
The police are currently investigating the case. While an FIR has been filed, Yash Dayal has not yet been arrested or formally questioned. Authorities have stated that they are reviewing the evidence submitted by the complainant, including screenshots of messages and video call recordings. The woman has also undergone a medical examination as part of the investigation.
This case comes at a crucial time in Dayal’s cricketing career, following his strong performances for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL and rising prospects with the Indian national team. The allegations have sparked widespread attention, both in the media and among cricket fans. The Chief Minister’s office has reportedly directed officials to expedite the investigation and take action before July 21.
If the charges are proven true, the consequences for Dayal could be severe, both legally and professionally. The case also highlights the ongoing importance of addressing sexual misconduct, especially when power dynamics and public figures are involved.
