Samson’s continued exclusion from the squad has led to fans regularly criticizing the Indian team management for not giving him a chance. Although Sanju Samson has put in some reliable performances over the past few months, he has not been a regular in the Indian cricket team. Meanwhile, reports emerged that the Ireland Cricket Board recently offered Samson a place in its squad.
Reports said that the Ireland board had promised Samson that he would play in all the matches if he moved to the country for his cricket career. Samson, however, rejected the offer saying that he wanted to represent India and could not imagine playing for another country at the international level. The 28-year-old would have to cut all links with the BCCI and the Indian Premier League if he accepted the offer.
