New Delhi/Bhopal, December 4: Rajasthan’s Abhinav Choudhary emerged victorious in the Men’s 25m Red-Fires Units (ArtP) category for the 66th National Shooting Championship Competition (Chong CC) in Bhopal, MP. State Shooting Academy Range. Innovative scored 30 in the final to clinch the title, leaving behind Uttar Pradesh’s Oscar Goyal, who finished with 26 hits. Confident Goyal of Delhi secured third position with 21 points.
Innovation had earlier built its portfolio with a leading score of 584 in the qualifying friendly round and secured its place in the finals with a top six rating.
In Junior Men RFP category, Vijayveer Shooters won the gold medal in the final with 28 hit boxes. He overtook Olympic quota winner Anish Bhanwala of Haryana, taking 25 hits. Punjab won gold and bronze medals in this tournament, with Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu winning the bronze medal with a score of 20.
Anish along with Sameer (578) and Adarsh Singh (571) won the collective men’s RFP team podium with a combined score of 1727. Vijayveer along with Rajkanwar and his twin brother Udayveer won the junior team gold medal.
