Hangzhou, September 27: India has created history by winning the gold medal in horse riding in the 19th Asian Games 2023. After 40 years, India has taken the initiative to usher in a golden era by winning gold medals in horse riding. Indian players are performing brilliantly in the 19th Asian Games 2023.
India’s quartet of Anush Agarwal, Hriday Vipul Chheda, Sudipti Hajela, and Divyakriti Singh have won the gold medal in the equestrian dressage team event of the Asian Games 2023. In this event, the Indian quartet captured the gold medal by scoring 209.205 points. Before this, India had won the gold medal four decades ago in 1982 when the Asian Games were held in New Delhi, India. These gold medals came in individual events, team events, and individual tent pegging. These events were not organized again after the 1982 Asian Games.

The Indian quartet has made the impossible possible by winning the gold medal in the dressage team event of horse riding. Because no one expected the Indians to win this event. But the Indian quartet proved its mettle by winning the gold medal. The 19th Asian Games is being played in Hangzhou, China. In the team event of horse riding, Sudipti Hajela riding Chinski scored 66.706 points, Divyakriti Singh riding Adrenalin Firfod scored a total of 68.176 points, Hriday Vipul Chheda riding Chemxpro Emerald scored 69.941 points and Anush Aggarwal riding Etro. Earned 71.088 while riding.

The results of the horse riding dressage team event are declared based on the scores of the best three players. Hence the result was declared based on the score points (209.205) of Divyakriti Singh who was riding on Adrenalin Firfod, Hriday Vipul Chheda who was riding on Chemxpro Emerald, and Anush Aggarwal who was riding on Etro. China won the silver medal with 204.882 points and Hong Kong won the bronze medal with 204.852 points. This is the first time in the history of sports that the Indian team has won the gold medal in the horse riding dressage team event. Earlier, India had won a bronze medal in this event in 1986. India won two silver medals in horse riding at the Asian Games in 2018. One of which was won by Fawad Mirza in the individual competition and the other in a team event where he won a silver medal.
