Prepare to experience this astonishing joy now that PhonePe has introduced the first celebrity voice function. When you use the PhonePe wallet to make a payment, you will hear Amitabh Bachchan’s distinct voice confirm your payment on the smart speaker.
This is the first time a celebrity’s voice has been exploited in this manner. PhonePe plans to expand this service into new languages, however it may take some time because it is currently only available in Hindi and English.
Here’s how shops can activate this new feature:

- Select the SmartSpeaker option from the home screen.
- Select “SmartSpeaker Voice” from the list of options under “My SmartSpeaker.”
- Select Amitabh Bachchan’s voice for the language you want.
- To activate the voice, click “Confirm.”
- After a few hours, the device will reset and switch to Amitabh Bachchan’s voice.
PhonePe launched its smart speaker service a year ago, and it’s already a success. According to the firm, four million devices are currently in use by merchant partners in India over 19,000 postal codes, representing more than 90% of the country. According to the business, PhonePe SmartSpeakers have unique advantages such as portability, great audio even in noisy environments, and a tiny design. It provides voice payment alerts in several Indian languages and has a battery life of up to four days. It has a dedicated button for replaying the previous transaction.
