Shortly after the earthquake, another earthquake occurred in Tibet at 9:05 am, the magnitude of which was measured at 6.8. As a result, there was massive destruction and so far 53 people have died, while 62 others have been injured. Relief and rescue operations are still going on.
This earthquake that occurred in Nepal in the morning was so strong that its effect was also felt in many Indian states. In particular, people felt its tremors in many areas including Delhi-NCR, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Siliguri in West Bengal. So far 53 people have died and 62 people have been injured. There are also reports of heavy buildings collapsing and relief and rescue operations are underway. The administration in Tibet has started emergency services in the affected areas and efforts are being made to evacuate people from the debris.

In April 2023 also, Nepal was hit by two earthquakes, one of which was of 5.2 magnitude and its epicenter was Suri in Dokhala district. The tremors of the earthquake were felt in many other districts including the Kathmandu Valley.
