During a roundtable discussion with leaders of the American Jewish community at the White House, President Biden stressed the importance of Americans understanding the gravity of the situation. “I’ve been doing this for a long time. I never thought I would see…confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children,” he said. Additionally, he condemned Hamas’ actions for belittling and insulting the Jewish people.

However, the White House later clarified that US officials, including President Biden, have not independently seen such photos or confirmed these reports. The president’s comments were reportedly based on claims by a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and information from Israeli media.
