Sep 4 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet left on Monday for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) 43rd summit and related meetings in Jakarta, Indonesia, according to a senior official.
According to government spokeswoman Pen Bona, this is Hun Manet’s first international appearance as Cambodia’s Prime Minister since taking office on August 22, writes Xinhua.
The 43rd ASEAN Summit and related sessions will be place from Tuesday to Thursday, with the theme “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth” and an emphasis on advancing the ASEAN Community Vision 2025.
Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam formed ASEAN in 1967.
