September 7 – Indian-American physician Dr. Siddharth Mukherjee’s book has been included in the list of Baillie Gifford Award, one of Britain’s top awards. Dr. Siddharth Mukherjee is an Indian-American cancer physician and researcher. A list of 13 books has been announced in Dr. Siddharth Mukherjee’s book “The Song of the Cell: An Exploration of Medicine and the New Human” was also announced. The 53-year-old Rhodes Scholar has been named by the judging panel as the most surprising and influential book ever written.

Selected by a panel of judges from among 265 books. The six finalists for the prize will be announced at a live event on 8 October 2023 at the annual Cheltenham Literature Festival in England. The winner of the six finalists will be revealed at a ceremony on 16 November 2023 at the Science Museum in London.
