The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israeli Security Agency (ISA) have recovered the bodies of three Israeli hostages during a joint operation in the Gaza Strip. The information of which has been shared by IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari.
Xinhua news agency quoted IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari as saying that on October 7 last year, Hamas attacked the Nova Rave party. In this attack, three Israeli citizens named Shani Lauk, Amit Buskila and Itzik Gelanter were kidnapped and brutally murdered and their bodies were taken to the Gaza Strip.
The IDF said on Friday that the operation was carried out to investigate Hamas terrorists who had been arrested in the Gaza Strip. This joint operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence provided by the Directorate of Military Intelligence.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the news as heartbreaking and said that we will bring back all our hostages, living and dead.
According to Israel, about 129 hostages are in captivity in the Gaza Strip, some of whom have died, some are no longer alive.
