Amman, October 30: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi urged the global community to immediately cooperate in delivering vital humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Safadi delivered the message while holding separate discussions with Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos and Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahabib in Amman. According to the ministry’s statement issued on Sunday, the meetings were aimed at addressing the escalating situation in Gaza.
The discussions came as Israel increased its airstrikes and ground operations against the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip in response to Hamas attacks on Israeli border towns on October 7, Xinhua news agency reported.

At these meetings, the Jordanian minister warned of a possible escalation of the conflict in Gaza and condemned Israel’s actions as a gross violation of international law.
He stressed the importance of building on the resolution recently passed by the United Nations General Assembly. The resolution called for a cessation of hostilities, protection of civilians, and upholding legal and humanitarian responsibilities.
Safadi reiterated his belief that a lasting and just peace based on a two-state solution is fundamental to ensuring security and peace for both Palestinians and Israelis.
He condemned the loss of civilian life on both sides and stressed the importance of upholding universal human values and respecting the lives of civilians.
