Japan’s Space One ‘Kairos’ rocket exploded a few seconds after take off and the initial rocket launch of the Japanese company ‘Space One’ failed. The rocket was launched by Tokyo-based startup Space One.
This was the first attempt to put a satellite into orbit by the private sector of the country. Smoke and fire were seen five seconds after takeoff from the launch site in western Japan’s Wakayama prefecture shortly after 7:30 am IST.

According to the information so far, the rocket exploded in the middle and then caught fire. Debris was scattered in the surrounding hilly areas. Some related pictures and videos have surfaced, in which the fire is seen raging on the mountain and firefighters are trying to put it out.
In this regard, Japan’s Space One company said that the flight was intentionally aborted. After the failure of the rocket, a statement was issued saying, “The mid-flight termination procedure has been carried out and we are monitoring the situation. ”
Japan’s Space One ‘Kairos’ rocket was 18 meters (59 ft) long and weighed 23 tons. The Kairos rocket was carrying a small intelligence satellite intended to be placed in orbit about 500 km above the Earth’s surface, weighing 100 kg.
